Alexander Stökl earned his PhD in astrophysics and has worked in this field for many years, mostly on fluid dynamics and numerical methods. In 2018 he joined Energiewerkstatt, where his responsibilities include risk assessments and wind energy research projects. His research interests in wind energy focus on the specific challenges facing the Austrian Wind energy. This includes meteorological icing on wind turbines and wind-LiDAR measurements at alpine sites. His personal interests include aviation and he holds a private pilot’s license.
