The forest has been a part of Rogers family for generations and Roger himself is an enthusiastic forest owner with a great interest in forest management. His strong interest in forestry lead to the founding of Conifer Vision in 2019.
As founder of Conifer Vision Roger is the driving force behind Conifer’s AI-platform and forest analysis frameworks adapted for forest analysis and valuation. In collaboration with clients such as Svenska Kraftnät, Boliden, Billerud, SCA, Sveaskog and Norra Skog Roger has been responsible for delivering digital solutions regarding planting, clearing, thinning, felling, valuation and carbon credits. Roger is also involved in Conifers collaborations with university and research organizations like the Swedish agricultural university (SLU), Skogforsk, Skogstekniska klustret and Mistra Digital Forest.
Roger holds a master’s degree in engineering physics and a bachelor’s in space technology. He has held leading roles in business development, technology, and sales at Ericsson, Tieto, and Skellefteå Kraft where he was responsible for evaluating business opportunities related to renewable energy and hydrogen, as well as to drive the growth of renewable energy production and develop sustainable strategies for the future.
